Commercial ComplianceThe Intellectual Property India (IPI) on August 07, 2026, notified the extension of the time for Completion of Mandatory e-KYC until August 31, 2026.

The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has extended the deadline for completion of mandatory e-KYC from August 9, 2026 to August 31, 2026, following stakeholder representations, queries and feedback received during the Open House Session held on August 4, 2026. All stakeholders who have not yet completed e-KYC are advised to do so by August 31, 2026, to avoid inconvenience or disruption to access to Intellectual Property Office services. For technical issues or queries, stakeholders may seek assistance through the designated email channels. A separate Open House Session to address technical difficulties in completing e-KYC will also be announced shortly.
